As part of Barnard Castle’s annual Christmas parade for all ages, the Street Cosmos braved the driving snow to join the stalwart procession, with our ‘Santallites’ project (feel free to roll your eyes and groan!).
Telling a tale of how amazing new generation of satellites made at Sedgefield’s NET Park are used to track the movement of Santa and his team as they work across the globe. Using the near frantic anticipation of Christmas, to let children know about how new sat tech is helping us monitor and understand the Earth better, for improved communication, weather prediction and tackling climate change (as well as help Santa and Co. make their deliveries to the entire planet).
